Description:

This course follows PHYS 564 and it continues to present current topics in elementary particle physics. It focuses on gauge symmetries, the theoretical foundation of the Standard Model and the Higgs mechanism. It explores physics beyond the standard model with special attention on supersymmetry and searches for new particles.
